Julie, RDH – Treatment Coordinator
Originally from Valparaiso, Indiana, Julie has been living in the Sarasota/Bradenton for over 10 years. She attended Braden River Middle School and Lakewood Ranch High School. After graduating high school, she ventured up to Tallahassee for college where she graduated with Honors from the TCC Dental Hygiene Program. Julie has extensive training in working with pediatric and special needs patients. She has volunteered with Special Olympics, the National Head Start Association, and the National Down Syndrome Society. In her free time, Julie enjoys both saltwater and freshwater fishing, playing tennis, horseback riding, and spending time with her family and friends.
Gabriela, EFDA - Clinical Assistant
Orginally from Brazil, Gabriela attended the University of South Florida. Gabi has a natural ability to work well with children. When she is not busy making dental visits fun for kids, Gabi spends her free time teaching children Capoeira - a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance and music. In fact, Gabi has traveled extensively in the U.S. and Brazil attending workshops and special Capoeira events to learn and teach her students the most contemporary form of this art.
Raiza, EFDA – Clinical Assistant
Originally from Cuba, Raiza has enjoyed working with children for many years. She has experience in child daycare and pediatric public health settings. Raiza graduated at the top of her class at MTI where she received certifications in both expanded functions dental assisting and preventive dentistry. In her free time, Raiza enjoys spending time with her family. Raiza's son Ricardo definitely knows how to keep her busy!
Anu, Ph.D, MPH - Financial Coordinator
Originally from Houston, TX, Anu earned her Ph.D. at the University of Texas Medical Center in Dallas and her M.P.H from Columbia University. Anu has experience in various clinical settings - she has worked with children in the forensic setting, has conducted psychological testing among adolescents, and has worked with expectant and new moms in the hospital setting. In her free time, she enjoys reading on her kindle, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Dara - Patient Coordinator
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Dara attended Duquesne University and graduated with a degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. After college, Dara worked as a daycare teacher and nanny. Dara's natural love for working with children and desire to step into the healthcare field, sparked her interest to enter dentistry and become an office manager for a friend's dental practice in Idaho. After enjoying the pristine surroundings of the Northwest, she decided to move to Sarasota to be closer to family. In her free time, Dara enjoys listening to music (especially Justin Timberlake), reading up on the latest celebrity gossip, cheering on the Pittsburgh sports teams (Go Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins!), and spending time with family and friends.
